Barge Cibro Savannah Spill
The Cibro Savannah barge exploded and caught fire as it was leaving the dock at the Citgo Petroleum Corporation terminal in Linden, NJ. The explosion ruptured cargo tanks and spilled No. 2 fuel oil into the waters of New York (Arthur Kill) and New Jersey.
